Scouts and Guides Camp culminates | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 18: A five-day training camp organized by the state unit of Bharat Scouts and Guides culminated today at Army School Kaluchak. The camp, in which 71 scouts and guides from the school took part for parvesh level, pratham and dwitiya sopa, began on May 14. The camp was inaugurated by Sardar Sahib Singh STC state unit of Bharat Scouts and Guides Jammu. The students were provided the training on different aspects of Bharat Scouts and Guides organization under the guidance of Dr GS Ghai State HQ Commissioner, J&K BSG. The team of officials comprised of PL Dubey [Pre-ALT], Bimla Handoo [HWB] Neeru Talwar [Pre-ALT], FA Khan [Pre-ALT] and KL Sharma Scout Master had various sessions with the children and taught them different useful skills. On 16 May, the scouts and guides visited Manda Hills Zoo Ramnagar as a part of trekking-cum-nature study programme. On 17 May, a colourful cultural night during the campfire was presented by the scouts and guides of Army School Kaluchak which was widely appreciated by the parents who were also present there. The gathering was welcomed by Dr IB Mishra Scout Master of Army School Kaluchak. The program was presented by Uma Jamwa. Speaking on the occasion Ramesh TR, Principal of the school, thanked the State unit of Bharat Scouts and Guides for providing training to the school children. |
