Panthers Party leader joins BJP | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 20: The state unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) received shot in the arm when another leader of Panthers Party, Neelam Kumar Langeh, joined the BJP at party headquarters her today. Neelam had contested the 2008 assembly elections from Ramban Constituency on the ticket of the Panthers Party. He along with other associates was welcomed and garlanded by state BJP president Shamsher Singh Manhas, vice-president Anil Gupta, general secretary Sat Sharma and Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) president Munish Sharma. Manhas, while welcoming the new entrants into the party, said that growing popularity of BJP was attracting political leaders/activists of different parties to join the party. Neelam Kumar Langeh, while briefing on the reasons for joining BJP, said that the senior leaders of Panthers Party, like Congress, PDP and NC, are promoting their families only in the organisation. Langeh said, besides Panthers Party's policies and programmes are not people-oriented and the party leaders are only concerned about their welfare at the cost of common workers. BJP state press secretary, Balbir Ram, State Working Comittee Members Rajiv Charak and Ram Kumar Gupta were also present on the occasion.
