| Selection grade for 14 sitting, retired session judges | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, May, 20 : The Registrar General of Jammu & Kashmir High Court MK Hanjura accorded sanction to the placement of fourteen sitting and retired District & Sessions Judges in the selection grade from dates mentioned in their respective orders. According to order No 172 dated May 20, 2010, AK Shan presently Member J&K Special Tribunal Jammu placed in the selection grade from December 23, 2006, Moulvi Javid Ahmed Principal Sessions Judge Budgam placed in the selection grade from August 9, 2004, Tariq Ahmed Naqashbandi retired District & Sessions Judge placed in the selection grade from January 7, 2003,Bihari Lal Bhat retired District & Sessions Judge placed in the selection grade from October 21, 2003, SL Pandita retired District & Sessions Judge placed in the selection grade from October 21, 2003, Mohd Iqbal retired District & Sessions Judge placed in the selection grade from October 21, 2003, Khaliq-ul-Zaman Bhat retired District & Sessions Judge placed in the selection grade from October 21, 2003, Bashir Ahmed Wani retired District & Sessions Judge placed in the selection grade from October 21, 2003, Vikas Kant Gupta retired District & Sessions Judge placed in the selection grade from February 1, 2004, SS Sarangal retired District & Sessions Judge placed in the selection grade from August 6, 2004, Javid Ahmed Kawoosa retired District & Sessions Judge placed in the selection grade from April 28, 2005, DK Kapoor retired District & Sessions Judge placed in the selection grade from June 1, 2005, Lt. SK Jamwal Ex-District & Sessions Judge placed in the selection grade from August 28, 2005, Sheikh Gh Nabi retired District & Sessions Judge placed in the selection grade from April 1, 2008,. The decision was taken in the full Court meeting held at Srinagar on May 15, 2010 with the Chief Justice Dr Aftab Hussain Saikia in chair. The other participants are Justice Virender Singh, Justice Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain, Justice Mansoor Ahmed Mir, Justice JP Singh, Justice Yaqoob Mir, Justice Sunil Hali, Justice Muzaffar Hussain Attar and Justice Gh.
