Symposium on Right to education held | | | Early Times Report Kathua, May 21: An inter college symposium was organised by the management of Rajiv Gandhi College of Education Kathua within the premises of the college on most burning and current topic "Right to Education". Earlier a study circle in the Rajiv Gandhi was inaugurated by the MLC Ravinder Sharma. The Number of the students from different colleges spoke on the occasion and put light on the importance of the education in the society and how it is needed to take the country in the era of science and technology for the well being of entire planets and its bio constituents. The right to education is just like an organ of the body if it loses the body become handicapped. The right to education is a great weapon to counter the all evils in the society by awakening the youth. On the occasion Hon'ble MLC Sh. Ravinder Sharma was the chief guest and also expressed his views about the essence of the right to education and also appreciated the union government led by Hon'ble Prime Minister of S. Manmohan Singh to make it as fundamental right of every children of the country which would surely yield the better results for the Indian society. Miss Depika student of Rajiv Gandhi College of Education stood first in symposium and the Anil Kumar student of New Age College, Miss Priti Sharma of LBS College both got second position while Miss Partiba Sharma of TDS College stood 3rd position. On the occasion Director College Development Council Prof. Ashok Gupta and Rector South Campus of Jammu University was the Guest of honour, Mrs. Anu Dogra, Sardar Khan, Dr. Sachdeva, Sh. Pankaj Dogra Monika Sharma and Shivali Jasrotia were present.
