| GM BSNL calls on Vohra | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, May 21: General Manager, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Srinagar, Mahesh Shukla, called on the Governor, N. N. Vohra, at Raj Bhavan, here today.
Shukla briefed the Governor about the functioning of the BSNL in the Srinagar Circle and the measures being taken for improving landline and mobile phone services and internet connectivity in the area of his responsibility.
The Governor underlined the need for bringing continuous improvement in the telecommunication services being provided to the people, particularly in the remote and far-flung areas of the State, by utilizing the latest technology.
This was Shukla's first meeting with the Governor after taking over as the General Manager, BSNL, Srinagar, last week. He was accompanied by Deputy General Manager, BSNL, Srinagar, B. P. Meena.
