Bamezai inaugurates MATLAB course | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 21: 2nd national biennial seven days short term course on MATLAB applications in Electronics, Electrical & Computers' (May 2 - 27, 2010) was inaugurated today at the School of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra. The course was inaugurated by Prof. R N K Bamezai, Vice Chancellor while other members comprising Registrar, Roop Avtar Kaur, Dean College of Engg, M.L Garg, Director, SECE, Prof. R.K. Abrol, Coordinator, Amit K Pandit along with faculty members were present on the occasion. In his inaugural address, Prof. Bamezai welcomed the participants and highlighted the significant of such short term courses on recent areas of research and study. The course is attended by the participants of different colleges, all over the country wherein the day kick started with activities on MATLAB. A keen interest, great zeal and enthusiasm were shown by the participants. Matlab is a high performance software package, which is used by the industry worldwide to solve, simulate, and model simple to complex problems. The course coordinator expressed the need of such software packages to minimize the deficiencies of Technocrats in analyzing and simulation of Engineering Problems.
