| Traffic police SI suspended | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 21: A traffic police Sub-Inspector (SI) was placed under suspension for failing to check overloading in the bus which today met with an accident at Bidda in Reasi, resulting in the death of 18 persons and injuries to 55 others.
The suspension order of SI Vinod Pandita was issued by SP, traffic, Alok Kumar.
Alok said a probe was also ordered into the incident.
He said the vehicle fell off the road when it gave way to the bus load and sank. The mishap occured when driver stopped the bus to give side to another vehicle, he added.
