| Auto service suspended at Bhawan | | Drivers hold protest against police | | Early Times report
Katra, May 22: The union of auto drivers held protest demonstration at Bhawan and raised anti police slogans.The auto service was also suspended ferring from Adh Kumwari to Bhawan.The incident occurred when SHO of the Bhawan thrashed one of the drivers.However, SMVDSB authority was offering negotation to patch up between both the parties. The incident took place when SHO beat Ganga Ram,one of the drivers, over overloading. The latter refused to show his licence to the cop on being asked. SDPO of the area Ajay Kumar when contacted informed that the auto was over loaded and when SHO asked him for license he started misbehaving with him.A case in this connection has also been registered against the driver, he maintained.
