Ram Khajuria to head task force for Himalayan Trekking | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 23: For the smooth and efficient conduct of Dalhousie- Chamba and Kullu Manali Himalayan Trekking Programmes-2010, Tawi Trekkers, J&K has constituted a Task Force Committee. The task force committee is a fine blend of experience and youth. Whereas 60 years old Ram Khajuria, the founder general secretary of the club who is a national judge of Sport Climbing and Secretary, North Zone Sport Climbing Committee, New Delhi, shall head the task force committee as organizing secretary of both the programmes, 34 years old Sumit Khajuria, a highly qualified mountaineer and an experienced adventurer and 23 years young Sonam Sidharth are the Field Directors of the Dalhousie - Chamba and Kullu Manali Himalayan Programmes respectively. Thirty-seven years old Amit Khajuria who has been the Field Director of Dalhousie Chamba Programme a number of times,has now been nominated as the Programme Officer. The camp leaders include Narinder Singh, an experienced mountaineer, Sanjiv Sharma, Bhanu Partap Singh, a martial art national medallist, Suraj Singh, Akshit Mahajan and Abhimanyu Sherpa, all champion sport climbers, Puneet Sharma, Anil Kumar and Arvind Mukhi. Shawetica Khajuria, a sport climbing judge and Amreen Kausar, a mountaineer have been given the responsibility of reception cum registration of trekkers.
