Regularised ReT teachers welcome HC ruling | 'Quashing of transfer policy' | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 23: The quashing of the controversial transfer policy by the High Court has provided a sigh of relief to the Rehbar-e-Taleem teachers. The cadre has welcomed the landmark judgement. Expressing their pleasure over the judgment, All J&K Regularised ReT Teachers Forum, in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Surinder Choudhary today, hailed the quashing of controversial transfer policy. The members of Forum said the state government should immediately honour the judgment by issuing an order regarding cancellation of the old transfer policy. A new transfer policy for the regularized ReTs should also be immediately announced, they demanded. The members alleged that that state government has not only been claiming credit for the Centrally-sponsored Schemes like SSA but also setting their own rules overlooking the guidelines of the centre government. "Though the controversial policy was already brought in the notice of the higher authorities of Education department but no action was taken by them. Even, the Minister for School Education Peerzada Mohd Sayeed, while chairing meetings of officers, always had stressed that the ReTs should not be transferred out even after regularization of their services and had asked the officers to implement the transfer policy in true spirit," they maintained.
