Jammu, May 24: A workshop cum exhibition on teaching aids was organized by Dogra College of education wherein the students of various practicing groups gave presentation regarding their respective models on different topics related to various subjects of teaching in school viz global warming. Rain water Harvesting. Solar cell Panel, Seismic waves and earthquakes, Digestive system, water cycle, Soil Erosion and soil conservation. Structure of eye. Sources of irrigation etc. The director college development, University of Jammu Prof Rajiv Gupta was the chief guest and inaugurated the function Mrs. While Uma Katal Manager of Rich Harvest schools presided over the function and Ghambir Dev Sing Principal Dogra Higher secondary school, Shastri Nagar was the guest of honor. Principal, Dogra College of education Dr. in her welcome address explained the relevance of teaching Aids in the present day education system. She also advised the students to make appropriate use of the aids to ease the process of teaching and learning. Prof. Rajiv Gupta in his address highlighted the qualities of an ideal teacher, and stressed upon for providing quality education to the students and the sue of innovative ideas and teaching methodology to create a healthy teaching learning environment. He appreciated the leering aids in general and functioning models in particular made by students and encouraged them to make use of such aids in their routine teaching by different levels of education on the occasion.
