| BAJ took serious note of threat calls | | |

Jammu, May 24: The bar association Jammu (BAJ) has taken serious note of threatening calls received by senior member of Bar Association Sheikh Shakeek Ahmad, threatened with dire consequence in case he conducts a particular contempt matter at Srinagar wing of the J&K High Court. As per press release such threats such threats being given to the member of association will adversely effect the cordial relations between members of Bar Association and bar association Jammu and efforts to stop the members of bar association Jammu appearing in Srinagar wing of the High Court. The association has also urged the Director General of police to take stern action in the matter and to ensure safety and security of Advocates from Jammu appearing in Kashmir. The efforts to vitiate and atmosphere and to scuttle the judicial process by threatening advocates are deplorable and will not be tolerated by Bar Association Jammu, the release added.
