Coalition committed to balanced development: Soz | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, May 24: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee president, Saif-ud-Din Soz today said that coalition government is stable and performing efficiently under the leadership of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah. He said that the State Government is committed to ensure balanced development of all the three regions of the State and for this purpose, massive developmental projects have already been initiated. Soz was addressing a huge public gathering at Hajan, Bandipora today. Referring to strengthening of Indo-Pak relations, Soz said that with the efforts of Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson, Sonia Gandhi, the two neighbours are coming closer to solve the long pending issues amicably. Soz said that state government is proposing to set up Government Women College in Bandipora and for this purpose, he would provide Rs 10 lakh out of his constituency development fund so that the work could be started soon. Besides, the local girls school and hospital at Bandipora will be upgraded in a phased manner. Minister for Sports, R S Chib on this occasion said that Government has initiated several projects to construct stadia and playing fields in various districts to provide sports facilities to the youth of the State. Minister for Revenue, Raman Bhalla in his address said that State Government is committed to ensure fast track development in every sector so that people at large are benefitted with the schemes being launched by the State and Central Governments from time to time. He said, Rs 20 crore are being expended for the construction of road under NABARD and a new bridge is being constructed at a cost of Rs 17 crore near Nand Kishore Sathan in Sonawari tehsil.
