| JMC conducts encroachment drive | | |

JAMMU, May 24:
Jammu Municipal Corporation today conducted a drive for the demolition and removal of encroachments at various parts of the city.
In the drive, Enforcement field staff of JMC led by Satish Khajuria, Chief Enforcement Officer demolished and removed encroachments raised at public places.
During the drive, the team demolished a Kiosk at Gurudwara Sunder Singh Road.
In another move the team demolished a bathroom which was constructed by encroaching upon part of Municipal lane at Bakshi Nagar and also demolished a wall which was also raised by encroaching upon Municipal drain and part of road at Rehari Colony.
The demolition was executed with the help and co-operation of Police from Sarwal Police Post.
Meanwhile, the Enforcement wing of JMC also stopped 30 numbers of constructions being raised in violation of approved building permissions at Channi Himmat and also initiated action against the owners of these buildings.
