Rashid welcomes PM's dialogue offer to separatists | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, May 25: Welcoming the Prime Minister's offer of talks to separatist organisations, MLA Langate Er S A Rashid stressed upon the union government and separatists that they should initiate a concrete and meaningful dialogue for the larger interests of people of sub continent in general and that for Kashmiris in particular. Er Rashid said that though talk offer is a welcome move but asking militants to shun violence is the repetition of the same song sung by the central government since 1990. MLA said that once the meaningful dialogue starts graph of violence will not only come down but the concerned parties after understanding significance of peace will shun down their arms. He said that I have been demanding from very first day that key of resolution of Kashmir issue lies with those militants who irrespective of our likes or dislikes sacrifice their lives for resolution of Kashmir issue and thus there is no scope for doing politics of exploitation on the issue by any political group or individual. Er Rashid reminded of the fact that separatist political leadership is the creation of militancy and militancy is not creation of politicians. Thus it is binding on all sincere pro-Kashmiri forces that they must play a positive role to start meaningful dialogue between militants and Government of India for a durable settlement of Kashmir dispute.
