Bhalla conducts extensive tour of Srinagar city | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, May 25: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla today conducted extensive tour of Srinagar city and took stock of pace of construction work on various projects under execution at Evacuee land. Custodian General, Latief-ul-Zaman Deva, Custodian, Kashmir, Mohammad Akbar, Custodian Central and other senior officers of the department accompanied the Minister during the visit. At Kathi Darwaza, the Minister inspected the construction work on multi-storey building, Marriage-cum-Community Hall coming up at a cost of Rs.5 crore. The multi-storey building is being constructed by the Evacuee Property Department. He said that on completion of this project, the people of Kathi Darwaza, Dal, Nageen, Gurudwara Chhatipadshahi and of other peripheral areas would be benefitted as it is situated at the central location of the area, adding that the project would also help in generating the quantum of revenue for the department. Bhalla said that being commercial complexes, these would be developed on modern lines having all facilities which including parking, escalator and green avenues so that more consumers prefer to get commercial units there. Later, Bhalla visited evacuee land at Peerbagh, Hyderpora and inspected proposed site for office complex.
