Cheat denied bail | | | early times report Jammu, May 25: Judicial Magistrate Akhnoor Khem Raj Sharma today rejected the bail application of Kamal Dev who was arrested by the police on charges of cheating. According to the police report, on May 18, 2010, the complainant reported that the accused Kamal Dev r/o Lehar Sungal Tehsil Akhnoor told him that he knew some officers of Air-Force and had got a number of people appointed in the force. The complainant in the month of October, 2009, gave Rs 80,000 for the recruitment of his son. On March 17, 2010, the accused handed over an appointment order to the complainant and told him to send his sons to join their duties at Bangalore. The complainant showed the appointment order to a number of people who informed him that the order was fake and forged. The police arrested the accused and on his disclosure recovered forged stamps of Indian Force, forged orders of recruitment of number of persons and some other documents from his custody. The investigation is going on and a number of persons are likely to be arrested. Prosecuting Officer Anshuman Dubey opposed the bail application on various grounds including that the accused after release on bail shall try to win over the prosecution witnesses.
