| Balwant Thakur visits International Theatre centre, Imphal | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
IMPHAL, May 25: Natrang Director Balwant Thakur today visited the country's most sought after Theatre Centre-'The Chorus Repertory Theatre' Imphal, created by one of the most celebrated Internationally acclaimed theatre director, Rattan Thiyam.
Balwant Thakur is on a two-day visit to the capital city of Manipur in connection with a National theatre meet of select eminent theatre directors, deliberating on the revival of traditional training modes of theatre and futuristic approaches in theater education.
This National meet on theatre is organized by National Academy of Music, Dance and Drama, New Delhi.

Balwant Thakur himself is striving hard to create an International class theatre centre in Jammu with the aim to establish Jammu as an International destination of theatre. His visit to the country's first professional set-up of theatre created through a voluntary effort by the country's most respected theatre director and the former director of National School of Drama, New Delhi Rattan Thiyam will go a long way in giving a final shape to the proposed Natrang's International Theatre Centre in Jammu.
After this dream project of Balwant Thakur and his team Natrang comes up in Jammu, the scene of the intellectual life of Jammu will be different and this centre will attract thousands of national and international visitors to the city of Jammu.
