| Himalaya expands its retail presence in Jammu | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 25: With a focus on expanding its retail reach across the country, The Himalaya Drug Company today opened its first exclusive 'Himalaya Herbal Healthcare' outlet in Jammu, located near Bramhan Sabha, Parade.
With this addition, Himalaya has a total of 127 exclusive stores across India.
Inaugurated by Ex-Mayor Jammu, Kavinder Gutpa, the store will serve as a one-stop-shop for well-researched, safe and efficacious herbal products. Himalaya's range includes over 200 products that span the entire wellness spectrum - healthcare, personal care and animal health.
The simple yet stylish design of the outlet creates an ambience which is shopper-friendly and based on a scientifically developed plannogram that allows for ease and convenience in shopping.
Customers will have an opportunity to interact with trained store personnel who will assist them in making an informed choice. The store will provide a platform to disseminate information on Himalaya's brand of contemporary Ayurveda, which marries Ayurveda with modern science, and display the entire range of products.
The emphasis at all Himalaya stores including the new outlet is on access, experience and service. These stores are electronically linked to a CRM cell where customer queries can be answered by a panel of doctors. It also has trained personnel who can provide customers with relevant product information.
Saket Gore, Business Head - Consumer Products Division, The Himalaya Drug Company said, "The decision to set up an exclusive outlet in Jammu was based on local customer demand for a store that displayed Himalaya's head-to-heel product range.
Many customers were familiar with the Himalaya brand but unaware of the breadth of our portfolio. The store will introduce the entire range of products to our customers and offer them a wide selection of gentle, safe and efficacious herbal products to choose from."
"Jammu is a growing market for skin and hair care products. Apart from local demand there also exists strong demand for Himalaya products amongst the tourist population. Some of our top selling products in this market include Kajal, Nourishing Skin Cream and Face Washes.
