| SDP holds delegates' convention | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAMBAN, May 26: Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP) held a party delegates' convention here today at Dak Bungalow.
The main highlight of this convention of SDP delegates was that it was attended by Panchs and Sarpanchs of thirty Panchayats of the district represented by other parties.
These local body representatives vowed to dedicate themselves to the nationalistic and public oriented politics of SDP.
Addressing the convention, SDP president Dr Darakshan Andrabi said that this hilly district inhabited by very poor people have been completely ignored by the present as well as previous governments.
She said that it was shocking to see the common people of this district left in deprivation of drinking water, electricity and roads.
She said that it was astonishing to see the so-called public representatives unconcerned about the public problems as they have disappeared till next elections after taking votes from the common, innocent public.
Dr Andrabi said that the present Chief Minister has dedicated his full time for addressing to the welfare and credibility of separatist camp just for earning their support.
She said that this opportunist politics has ruined our state from Sheikh Abdullah's time. Dr Darakhshan said that SDP's social service mission will continue in Ramban district and we will try to reach to all remote areas with proper financial help.
