Renovation of outer court yard portions to start soon: Jora | Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 30: The renovation work on the outer court yard portions of Royal Palace Mubarak Mandi complex would be started soon. The development of the Royal complex as Dogra Heritage Seat is estimated to cost Rs 250 crore, while the restoration work has been entrusted to Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) by setting a target of fiver year for the completion of the project. Only recently, Rs 50 crore has been sanctioned for the complex under 13th Finance Commission, while the state government has projected the demand of Rs 25 crore under Mega Tourism project. The state is also expecting Rs 10 crore from Union Ministry for Culture for the development of Dogra museum inside the complex, The information was given at an officers meeting held under the chairmanship of Minister for tourism and Culture, Rigzin Jora, here today. Earlier, the Minister went around the complex and inspected the pace of renovation works going on in inner court yard buildings. The Minister asked the officers to take steps to start the work on other portions of the complex at the earliest. He said the proposal for developing a Hotel inside Inner Court yard area on Public Private Mode also needs to be expedited. He hoped that the complex will be completed in all respects within 5 year period.
