No curtailment in ration supply to Jammu city: CAPD | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, JUNE 2: As per a hand out issued by Consumer's Affairs and Public Distribution (CAPD) Department, Jammu the ration supply to Jammu city and other districts of Jammu province during June 2010 will be same as has been made during May, 2010. Refuting the news item that appeared in some news papers that ration supply has been curtailed, Director, CAPD, Jammu, Pervaiz Ahmed Malik clarified that Jammu city has been allotted 15,500 qtls of wheat and 9500 qtls of rice during June 2010 in the first instance as was allotted during May, 2010. Additional allocation of 3000 qtls of wheat and 1500 qtls of rice will be allotted for issuing to those dealers who will deposit the counter-foils of newly introduced photo ration cards. He further stated that if quota under Open Market Saving Scheme (OMSS) is received, ration allocation can be more than previous month. Rationees are advised to take their quota of ration on new ration cards, the counter-foil of which will be retained by the dealer after entry in the ration cards. Rationee public is further informed that scale of ration WOULD be same as was made during May, 2010. |
