| 3rd Phase of Anganwari selection soon: Sakina | | Directs officers to establish pension counters at Tehsil levels | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, Jun 2: Minister for Social Welfare, Sakina Itoo today disclosed that the 3rd phase of selection of Anganwari workers would start soon. Chairing a high level meeting to review the latest status position of selection of Anganwari workers and helpers she directed early and timely completion of the selection process of Anganwari workers and inclusion of all areas within the network of Anganwari centres. The Minister directed the District officers and concerned CDPO'S to complete all the pending cases under Phase II within the shortest period of time and meanwhile start the process of advertising, collection of forms, verification and interviewing for the selection of helpers under phase 3rd and complete the whole process within two months. Sakina also reviewed the performance of schemes like ISSS, IGNOAPS, minority scholarships and other programs run by the Social Welfare Department for the welfare of the people. The Minister also directed for reviewing and projecting the demand for additional and new aganwari centers within 15 days so that no area is deprived of an opportunity to have an aganwari centre in the State. The Minister asked the officers of Social Welfare Department to work with zeal and dedication so that timely assistance to poor and needy people of the State is provided. The Minister also directed the district level officers to establish counters for pension cases at Tehsil level as well.
