| Adventure camp begins at Sprawling Buds | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 2: Secretary North Zone Sport Climbing Committee, New Delhi, Ram Khajuria today inaugurated the Adventure Camp at the premises of Sprawling Buds School, Chinore near here today. The first of its kind camp wherein adventure activities like wall climbing, tent pitching, Tarzan Swing, knots training and films on adventure have been included has attracted many young students. During the 11-day camp, being organized by Spraw-ling Buds School in collaboration with Adventure Holid-ays India, all the activities shall be conducted by experts in their respective fields.
The school bears a festive look with a number of colorful small and big tents decorating its sprawling lawns.
"Besides, mountaineering equipments like climbing shoes, crampons, ropes, harnesses, descenders, carabiners, rock and ice pitons, ice axes, mitons, sleeping bags, rucksacks and anchoring gadgets are on display to inspire the young participants to take up adventure activities," informed Ram Khajuria. To keep the participants in a more relaxed and fun filled atmosphere, activities like dance and music, taekwando, magic show, yoga as also confidence building and personality development activities have been made part of the camp.
"Lots of fun games shall also be conducted during the camp in which over 100 students including 20 from other schools are participating," said Principal of the host Sprawling Buds School, Puja Sharma.
