No link between Maoists and Kashmiri ultras | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 2: CRPF special director general NK Tripathi today said no link existed between Maoists and Kashmiri terrorists, while asserting that the force was undaunted by the recent killing of 75 of its personnel by naxalites at Dantewada. "There is no evidence of any link between Maoists and terrorists operating in Kashmir," he said at the passing out ceremony of CRPF recruits at Humhama in Srinagar today. Till today, they had got no evidence of a link between them, Tripathy added. He said undaunted by the recent killing of 75 CRPF personnel by naxalites at Dantewada, his men were prepared to take on Maoists in a more determined manner to eliminate them. "We are ready to meet any eventuality. The force is determined to eliminate the menace of naxalism which of late has spread its tentacles, posing a threat to the nation," Tripathy said the attack on the force had not affected the morale of its jawans and officers. "Their morale was high and is high and will remain so," he asserted. "Training the personnel is important. We will improve the kind of training being given to them. Whatever is necessary will be done. They will gain experience and meet the challenge posed by naxalites," he said. Tripathy said CRPF would leave no stone unturned to foil the evil designs of the naxals. He said the situation in Jammu and Kashmir was under control and there was complete coordination between security forces. However, he denied there were plans to pull out CRPF from J&K and divert them to naxal-infested areas. "Security forces are the target of both naxals and terrorists," he added.
