| ‘Fake’ fax from Ansari's wife for Vaishno Devi darshan | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU: A fax from vice-president Hamid Ansari's wife to governor N N Vohra to arrange for her a special 'darshan' at the holy Vaishno Devi cave shrine was fake. Vohra's secretary received a fax earlier this week purportedly from the vice-president's Office. The letter sent by an anonymous person demanded that Raj Bhavan arrange a VIP 'darshan' for Ansari's wife Salma at the Vaishnavo Devi temple.
However, when the Raj Bhavan secretariat contacted vice-president's office in New Delhi, it learnt that no such request was made and no fax was sent, and that the letter was fake.
The vice-president's Office told Raj Bhavan that it had not sent any message to them, official sources said. Ansari's office had filed a complaint with Tughlaq Road police station regarding the issue, the sources added. The state police were also investigating the issue, sources said.
