| 3 suspended for dereliction of duty | | | Early Times report
RAJOURI, June 4: Three employees of public health engineering (PHE) department were suspended for dereliction of duty here today. They were identified as Showkat Hussain, Iftikhar Din, both residents of Nowshera, and Dharam Singh of Rajouri. All of them are motor operators.
Official sources said they had hired the services of local unemployed youth who worked in their place, while they themselves did some other work. When the matter came to the notice of PHE executive engineer Swaran Singh, he immediately ordered their suspension, the sources added. Sources said PHE motors had suffered damages due to the non-performance of duties by the three motor operators. Singh said action under law would be initiated against the three employees.Notices had been served upon them, he added.
