| Jawan hurt in firing by colleague | | | Early Times report
JAMMU, June 4: Follo-wing heated exchanges between them over some issue, an army jawan today fired upon his colleague at Balnoi in Mendhar, Poonch, injuring him seriously.
Police sources identified the injured as Jitender Yadav and the accused as Jay Prakash, both of 17 Mahar Regiment.
They were seen exchanging heated words by their colleagues. In a fit of anger, Prakash later took out his weapon and fired upon Yadav. The bullet pierced his shoulder, the sources added. Yadav was hospitalised.Sources said army had initiated an inquiry into the incident.
