| Farewell accorded to outgoing officers | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, June 4: A farewell party was organised by the citizens of Rajouri to felicitate the outgoing Deputy Commissioner Jai Pal Singh, Senior Superintendent of Police Shafqat Ahmed Watali, IPS, DySP HQ Liyaqat Choudhary and DySP DAR Naresh Singh on their transfer today at the Town Hall under the supervision of Shahzad Khan and Anmol Koul. At the outset, officers were presented with customary loongis. Speakers hailed role of the officers in maintaining law and order thereby bringing down the crime rate besides a number of developmental works carried on in district during their tenure.
Anmol presented memento to J.P. Singh and Shahzad presented memento to Watali. Around 50 traditional dhols were also arranged to send off officers. Prominent citizens among others present were Rajender Gupta, Haji Maqbool Dar, Imtiyaz Ali Dar, Kuldeep Raj Gupta, Yogesh Sharma, Lovely Gupta, Rafiq Mir, Baldev Singh and others.
