Cattle smuggling foiled, truckers held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Nine milch animals were recovered from three trucks at Kathua in the wee hours of this morning while these were being smuggled from the neighbouring Punjab to Kashmir. Police sources said a truck was intercepted by police at Nagri near Kathua early in the morning. Seven animals were recovered from it. Its driver, however, managed to escape, the sources added. Two animals were recovered from two trucks at Maghar Khud near Lakhanpur. The drivers were these trucks were arrested and booked under relevant sections of law. The trucks, which bore registration Nos JK02AC/7536, PB05L/9862 and PB06E/9735, were also seized.
