| 2 Vaishnodevi pilgrims die | | | JAMMU: Two Vaishno Devi pilgrims, including a woman, died under mysterious circumstances at different places here since last night. Police sources said Kamni Devi (25) was found lying dead in a hotel in the holy Katra town this morning. She hailed from Delhi.
She had come to Katra along with her family members for the darshans of Vaishno Devi in Trikuta Hills housing the holy cave shrine of the goddess.
After post-mortem at the Katra hospital, her body was handed over to her family for last rites. Police had registered a case in this connection. Jatinder Singh (42) of Muradabad in Uttar Pradesh, who had undertaken the pilgrimage along with his friends, was found unconscious at the railway station here last evening, the sources added.
Sources said he was shifted by GRP to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The railway police station had registered a case in this connection.
