| Relay' arrangements reviewed | | 'Queen Batons | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, June 8: The historic Queen Baten Relay is coming for the first time to J&K during upcoming Commonwealth games to be held in October 2010 in New Delhi for which District Development Commi-ssioner, Kathua, Sanjeev Verma today reviewed necessary arrangements to receive the Baton at Lakhanpur in a meeting of district officers.
The DDC discussed with the officers the preparations for the success of this mega event and directed the district officers to ensure that all arrangements related to their respective departments will be made well in time.
Verma directed the SSP Kathua to ensure that no traffic congestion should be caused during the event.
Among others SSP Kathua, Garib Dass, Deputy General Manager JKPCC and other district officers were present on the occasion.
