Ashok Sharma receive international award at Bangkok | | | Early times Report JAMMU, Jun 8: The former legislator and advocate Ashok Sharma, was presented with the prestigious international Gold Star award at Bangkok, Thailand the other day. The award comprising of "international Gold Star Award" and "Certificate of Excellence" was presented to him by Paitoon Kaewthong Minister of Labour, govt. of Thailand at 'Indo-Thai friendship banquet' at Rembrandt Hotel and Towers Klong Toei, Bangkok organized by India International friendship Society. To receive the award Sharma left for Bangkok on 25th of May during his stay in Thailand, he also visited Coral Island and Patya, 400 Kms away from Bangkok and interacted with a cross section of people on issues like environment protection, morality based politics, global friendship, economic growth and good governance. The international Gold Star Star Award is given for individual excellence in recognition of the sterling merit, excellent performance and outstanding contribution for the progress of the nation besides strengthening the indo-Thai ties and forging greater unity and friendship among resident and non-resident Indians.
