JAMMU, Jun 8: To ensure protection of consumer rights, creating awareness among the people of the far-flung areas and welfare of the citizen of the state the CAPD Department, which is the Nodal Department for the purpose, is going to organize one-day consumer awareness programme in different districts of Jammu province as per fixed schedule. It is pertinent to mention here that the CAPD Department organizes such programme every year to educate the about their rights with regard to consumer affairs.
As per the schedule, this consumer awareness programme comprising seminars, rallies, debates by students, quiz programmes and press and media awareness programmes would be organized at Basantgarh on June 7, 2010, at Bani on July 2, 2010, at Bhaderwah on August 6, 2010, at Banihal on September 4, 2010 at Kishtwar district on October 10, 2010, at district Poonch on October 18, 2010, at Rajouri on October 25, 2010, at Basohli on November 3, 2010, at Reasi on November 27, 2010. Besides, on the eve National Consumer Week a weeklong programme will be held in Jammu district from December 25 to 31, 2010.
