early Times Report JAMMU, Jun 8: Youth Movement For Peace organized a 2 days program in Sehar Jagir (Aithem, 27kms away from Jammu), an isolated area devoid of basic facilities and amenities of life. The program is all about the promotion of Human Rights and in this program the people were made aware of Fundamental and Constitutional Rights. Speaking on the occasion, Vikas Sharma (Chairman, YMP) said, "Each and every person should be awarded Constitutional and Human Rights for ones development and nation's prosperity. The existence of human rights helps secure peace, deter aggression, promote the rule of law, combat crime and corruption, strengthen democracies, and prevent humanitarian crises." Highlighting the importance of Women and Girls Education, he further said, "Men and women have equal rights and both compliment each other in the proper and progressive functioning of life and the society." In the program, people of Sehar Jagir also shared their basic problems with YMP and demanded the opening of a vocational centre for their skill development as they do not have sufficient means to earn their livelihood. Many Gujjars men, women and children joined YMP and for the welfare and development of Gujjars, YMP formed a body of 6 members namely Fateh Mohd., Farooq Din, Nazir Mohd., Sehrajdin, Sharif Mohd. and Din Mohd. Vikas Sharma (Chairman, YMP), . Ranjana Sharma (Vice-Chairman, YMP), Rekha Sharma (General Secretary, YMP), Rajinder Singh Wazir (Sarpanch, Panchayat Aithem), Sarifa Bibi, Shamim Akhtar, Khurshana Bibi, S.Gagandeep Singh (Secretary, YMP), Mrs. Sangeeta (Office Adm.), Mrs. Meenakshi Kour (Manager, YMP), Sukhdev, Sachin were also present on this occasion.
