| Ravta Kesari: Benia, Abdul fight for main bout ends in draw | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 8: Wrestler Benia of J&K Police and Abdul Gani of Mallerkotla in Punjab shared the main bout in the 115th Annual Ravta Kesari Vishal Dangal which was organized by Ravta Dangal Committee under the aegis of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association at Village Ravta in Block Bhalwal of Jammu District.
The main bout, which lasted for 29 minutes, could not be decided resulting into organizers gave away Rs 10,000 each to Benia and Abdul Gani. The prizes were given away by president of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association, Shiv Kumar Sharma, who was chief guest. Former Sarpanch of Bhagani, Mohd. Anwar Khan, Sham Singh and Master Ram Krishan (Retd.) were guests of honour.
In the second main bout, Roshan Lal of J&K Police defeated Sainf Ali of Mallerkotla to bag a cash reward of Rs 3,500 while runners up Roshan Lal given away Rs 2,000.
The third main bout was won by Onkar Singh of BSF beating Teg Ali of Mallerkotla while fourth bout went in favour of Kashmira of BSF after he defeated Soara Din of Mallerkotla.
Members of organizing committee and technical officials who extended their cooperation I making the event a success were Sham Lal, Surinder Kumar, Krishan Gopal, Som Nath, Mukand lal, Ram Kriashan, Yash Paul, Santosh Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Naresh Kumar, Allah Mai (Ranga), Om Parkash Sharma, NIS wrestling coach Bittu Raina, and Manzoor Hussain.
Other Results: Yaseen of Choudi bt Pawan Kumar of J&K Police, Bittu bt Allah Rakaha, Anil Kumar (Mohanu) of J&K Police bt Kashmira of BSF, Sunny of J&K Police bt Parveen of Sonipat, Jakker bt Kala, Mohd. Akram of Jammu bt Gulshan Singh of J&K Police of Kalakote. Bouts between Shesh Kumar of BSF and Mulk Raj of Aknhnoor and Sukhdev Magotra of J&K Police of Jammu and Naresh of Nargara ended in a draw.
