Akhil Langer Brings Laurels to J&K State | | | early times report Jammu, June 8: Akhil Langer becomes the 1st ever Student of Jammu and Kashmir to bag the "President of India Gold Medal" from Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T). He topped in all the Streams amongst 568 Students by getting CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 9.76 in B. Tech. (Computer Science), the result of which was declared recently. To his credit, Akhil topped right from 1st year to 4th year examinations of the Institute and is the first IIT Gold Medalist of Jammu & Kashmir State. Having topped in Army School Kaluchack, Jammu in CBSE 10thClass he finished his Senior Secondary Examination by securing 93% marks before he could make his way to IIT Roorkee by claiming an All India Rank of 726 which itself was remarkable. Akhil Langer, Son of Ramni Langer & Jagdish Langer, an Industrialist belongs to a very distinguished and social family. Greeting messages are regularly pouring to his family from all friends and relatives. Being son of the soil, Langer fraternity has also conveyed their happiness to the parents for his achievement. Akhil had a Distinction of undertaking internship in United States of America in the year 2009 at University of Illinois (URBANA- CHAMPAIGN). The University gave him the privilege to join for MS in Computer Science with full fee waiver besides Research Assistantship at the Parallel Programming Laboratory (PPL) and he is preparing his all necessary documents for the same. He has been offered by many Multinational Companies also as a Software Development Engineer.
