Mobile IT exhibition train to reach Udhampur on June 26 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 9: To showcase the vision and achievement of India in Information Technology (IT) sector especially in the field of e-Governance, Infrastructure Technology relevant to rural India, language interfacing technology etc, a mobile exhibition on train jointly launched by the department of Information Technology and Ministry of Railways would reach Udhampur Railway Station on June 26, 2010 and the exhibition would be held on June 27, 2010. This was disclosed during a meeting of officers of different departments held to coordinate the arrangements and to prepare detailed schedule of events for the smooth conduct of IT Exhibition under the chairmanship of District Devel-opment Commissioner Udhampur, Baseer Ahmed Khan on Wednesday. Various arrangements for the event were discussed during the meeting which included sitting, decoration, sanitation, transportation, cultural programme and publicity. Assistant Commissioner Development, District Informatic Officer and Project Officer IREP were asked to act as nodal agency for coordinating various arrangements with Railway authority Udhampur. It was decided in the meeting that the Principal Women College and Chief Education Officer would arrange a cultural show with the involvement of students of their respective institutions. The District Devel-opment Commissioner instructed the Station Superintendent to keep ready all arrangements pertaining to the exhibition well in advance and to coordinate with district administration to make this rare event a grand success.
