Udhampur, June 9: Determination makes impossible to become possible. It had been proved by Madan Lal Sharma local Pujari of Aap Shambu Davika Temple, whose mission is to face lift historical Davika shrine building, which had several cracks. Most of the boundary walls, Ghats and Main Ghat towards funeral ground are totally damaged.
He has constructed edge walls towards Dudh Ganga , Constructed Sanskar Gate towards funeral ground and is repairing dilapidated and crumbled walls spending his personal money for purpose . He said that he has taken up the mission as a challenge and alleged govt's apathy towards the holy places despite several requests. He also alleged Davika Sudhar Samiti for making hurdles for development of area in lieu of cheap publicity. He added that Samiti constituted several years back did nothing except writing their name on walls and playing politics in the name of religion. He said that members have been exposed after witnessing development of shrine. He said that Initially he started construction of Gate towards crimination ground adjacent to shrine & from last few days they have started maintenance & construction work by fixing tiles & renovation work to preserve edge walls of historical temple .
He added that despite repeated requests & appeals made to administration, no one came to forward to extend helping hand. "Then we thought why to depend upon govt if we can get united, determined for cause, we would develop the place & started the mission thereafter" Sharma added. He said near about two to three lakhs had been spent on developing temple surroundings & maintenance of ancient gate which were wearing ugly looks some days before. He said "I don't want any name or fame but want that our historical place should be clean. He appealed youths to come forward & maintain other places with in district which are not being maintained by government so that our town would get name of model town in the state".
