| Army recruitment rally | | | Early Times Report
Udhampur, June 9: To uplift local populace by providing employment opportunities to youth at Kargil from 04 to 08 Jun army organized a recruitment rally. The rally was inaugurated by CEC and Chairman LAHDC, Kargil on 05 Jun 2010 along with various other Military and Civil dignitaries. Army Recruiting Office, Srinagar under the aegis of Headquarter Recruiting Zone organised the rally for Soldier Clerks, Storekeepers, Soldier Technical and Soldier Nursing Assistants from all the districts and for Soldier (General Duty) from Leh and Kargil districts.
Young aspirants from the region were guided and groomed in advance about the procedure followed and preparation required. They participated in the rally with great zeal and enthusiasm. Approximately 2500 youth availed the opportunity. Those found fit would be appearing in a Common Entrance Test on 25 Jul 2010. The local populace was extremely grateful to the army for all the efforts being done for the community development of the region. These efforts would ensure not only opportunity to serve the nation but also enhance the socio-economic conditions of the families assuring them of a better future.
