Jammu boy joins country's top football club | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 9: Jammu boy, Vinay Kumar bought laurels to the state by getting selected in the one of the top football clubs of the country, Mohammadan Sporting of Kolkotta. Presently playing for Jammu and Kashmir Police, Vinay has been guided and supported by international footballer from the state, Arun Malhotra, who himself works with ONGC. A talented footballer of Jammu, Vinay has signed a two-year contact with country's oldest club, Mohammadan Sporting. Learned basics from SAI coaches under SAI day-boarding scheme, Vinay later joined J&K Police as defender and further sharpened his skills under the able guidance of police coach, Ranjit Singh and Inthikhab Alam. "Vinay has got a good platform and now, it is up to him to scale new heights with best of hardwork and dedication. I'm very positive about this Jammu boy to play at the international level after learning from best coach of the country, Syed Nayeemudin, who is a Dronacharya awardee and trains Mohammadan Sporting ," Arun Malhotra told SAN from Kolkotta. "Staying in the hub of country's football-Kolkotta, I always wanted to see more and more young boys from my state to play in the reputed clubs. So, whenever back home in Jammu, I always look for the talented boys and encourage them to join some reputed clubs of the country to excel in life," Arun disclosed.
