| Peace organizes M R Saraf night cricket tournament | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 9: A 12 over Lala Mulkh Raj Saraf night cricket tournament (Father of journalism in J&K) commence from June 8 Mubarak Mandi ground was inaugurated by the SSP, Basanth Rath. The tournament is organized by people's education and association for culture and equality (PEACE). The chief guest Rath complemented the organizer for conducting the tournament and hoped such activities will continue in near future also as activities strengthen the bonds of brotherhood especially among youth. Paying floral tribute to Padam Shri Late President, PEACE Narinder Sharma, said that we should follow the good steps of Lal Ji as he did a lot for the society.
A half a century service in journalism by Lal Ji will be remembered by all. He hoped this night cricket tournament would be a success and the budding cricketers will also get an opportunity to excel.
Prominent among those who were present on this occasion were Om Saraf, Sr. Journalist, Suresh Sharma, Principal, DBN School, Rajinder Singh, Rajesh Sharma, SK Mengi, Deepak Sharma, Pankaj Chibber, Rashpal Singh, Pankaj Kumar.
