| NC pays tributes to Afzal, Shah | | | Early Times report
Jammu, June 11: Rich tributes were paid to late Mirza Afzal Beg founder member of National Conference (NC) and late Kh Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Shah former General Secretary and Minister at Sher-i-Kashmir Bhawan here on Friday.
Large number of NC leaders and workers assembled in the Bhawan and paid tributes to departed soul.
Provincial President NC Women Wing Laxmi Dutta while addressing the gathering said that advice of these two leaders shall be remembered for ever by the people of J and K State. They have served the people remaining in various positions and suffered for the noble cause of people. Provincial Secretary Jammu Province Sheikh Basher Ahmed said that late Baig and Shah always fought for upholding the secular traditions in the State.
They also kept the State united. Referring to late Baig, he said that late leader was instrumental in making law for the common people.
Th Kashmir Singh, Bimla Luthra, Mohinder Gupta, Chander Mohan Sharma, Rajesh Bakshi, Nar Singh, Ch Haroon, S.S Bunty, T. S Tony, Satya Jamwal, Daljeet Sharma, Veer Chand Mahasha, S. M Gill, S.S Jamwal, M.L Munshi, Vijay Kour, Abdul Gani Teli, Kuldeep, Rashida, Shyam Mehra, Pankaj Kohli, Nirmal Sharma, Veena Obrai, Saroj Gupta, Oma Kamlesh, Paramjeet, Ram Sawroop, Sain Dass and Joginder Singh were among others who paid tributes to both the leaders.
