Tytler visits Vaishno Devi | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, June 11: Former Member of Parliament, Jagdish Tytler, who has recently been given charge of the All India Congress Seva Dal, today visited the holy shrine of Goddess Vaishno Devi and paid his obeisance. Tytler, who was earlier holding the post of Bihar Pradesh Congress chief, has been given the new assignment by the UPA chairperson, Sonia Gandhi last week. After paying obeisance at the holy shrine, Tytler also chaired the meeting of state executive of the Congress Seva Dal. The activists of the Congress Seva Dal under the leadership of Balwinder Singh Sambyal, state president Congress Seva Dal gave rousing reception to Tytler. The meeting also discussed the functioning of ruling coalition partners-Congress and National Conference. Sambyal informed, "Tytlerji who has recently been given the charge of All India Congress Seva Dal paid obeisance at Vaishno Devi Shrine. As the meeting of national executive of the Congress Seva is set to be held tomorrow, Tytlerji wanted to pay obeisance at the holy shrine. He also discussed the various issues pertaining to the working of the coalition partners." Later, he also interacted with the senior leaders of the Pradesh Congress Committee and discussed the political situation in Jammu. Sources informed that the PCC leaders also apprised him of the infighting in the Congress unit and alleged that some senior leaders of the party are engaged in "mudslinging" which they said, would not be in favour of the party in near future. Sources said that the leaders who met Tytler included former MLA, Gharu Ram, Vinod Sharma and Dr Ramesh Sharma, besides interacting with the Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand telephonically.
