| Van-borne youth held with lethal weapons | | |
EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 14: Five Maruti van-borne criminals were today arrested by police with lethal weapons near Akhnoor. Police intercepted a van (3468/JKD) near Akhnoor. Police sources said van's search led cops to the recovery of five sharp-edged weapons.
Soon thereafter, the van was seized and the accused arrested, the sources added.
The accused were identified as Binu alias Bawa alias Sonu of Katra, Blair Singh alias Beeru, son of Vijay of Reasi, Rakesh Singh, son of Kartar Singh of Katra, Neil Kumar alias Sunny, of Bishan Dass of Katra and Atul Sharma, son of Sham Lal of Jad, Akhnoor. A case was registered against them under 4/25 of Arms Act at the Akhnoor police station.
