Rs 20cr for village roads in J&K | Centre grants | | NEW DELHI: The Union Ministry of Rural Development has released a grant in aid worth Rs 20 crores as part of the first installment of Phase VII for construction of rural roads in the border State of Jammu and Kashmir under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY). A Ministry Press release issued here today said that the sum being cleared is from the special window created through the aegis of NABARD or National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development. The grant has been extended under the rural infrastructure development fund or RIDF as grant in aid to the Jammu and Kashmir State Rural Roads Development Agency. The JKSRRDA is an autonomous agency executing the works taken up under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in the State.
