Excess currency seized from two cross-LoC visitors | | | JAMMU: Two PoK-residents on Monday came under the scanner of security agencies in Poonch after they were found in possession of excess currency. They were identified as Amir Hussain, son of Ghulam Muzaffar, of Muzaffarabad, and Mohammad Nazir Khan, son of Nazir Ahmed, of Kotli. Soon after they arrived at Chakan-da-Bagh crossing point in Poonch in the weekly Poonch-Rawalkote bus service, security agencies found that two PoK visitors were carrying excess currency. "As per rules, civilians visiting the Indian side from across the border in weekly bus service are not allowed to carry money beyond a certain limit," official sources said, adding the excess money was seized. "The seized currency will be returned to them on their way back to PoK,'' the sources added.
