HC stays selection of 7 ReTs | | | Early times report Jammu, June 16 : The Jammu Kashmir high court has stayed selectionof seven ReT teachers for a primary school on Bair, Bafliaz. Vacation Judge Justice JP Singh in a petition challenging the selection of seven ReTs issued notice to Commissioner/Secretary Education, Director School Education Jammu. CEO Poonch, ZEO Bafliaz (Poonch) and seven private respondents. The learned Justice also stayed the selection of seven private respondents till next hearing. A petition preferred by one Wasim Akram challenging the panel prepared by the ZEO Bufliaz in which seven private respondents shown as selected as ReTs said that these seven private respondents are non-local. According to the ReT Scheme non-local candidates have no right against two vacant posts of ReT for newly upgraded primary school Bihar for which petitioner is one of the local candidate eligible as per the guidelines notified vide Govt order dated April 8, 2009. The petitioner sought quashmnet of the panel of seven private respondents prepared by the ZEO Bafliaz whereby the said respondent without follwing the mandate of ReT Scheme notified vide Govt order and in utter violation of the instructions/ guidelines contained in Govt order No 288-Edu of 2009 dated April 8, 2009. ---(JNF) |
