BJP, Youth Maha Rally in Nov
6/17/2010 1:18:24 AM

Early Times Rerport
Jammu , June 16: Terming youth as future of any nation and hence has more responsibility towards motherland, particularly in J&K the responsibility of youth becomes all more important in view of efforts of some elements to demoralize nationalist forces, which have been working day and night for state's full integration with the rest of the country, BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas said and informed that BJP will organise a "Youth Maha Rally" at Jammu in the month of November this year during 1-day State Working Committee meeting of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) on Wednesday.
Criticizing the NC-Congress coalition in the State for being unconcerned for the youth, Manhas said that there is no Youth policy and as a result the highly educated youth is sitting idle or working at very low salaries. Due to less job avenues in the state, many educated youth have left for other places.
He said this silent migration will turn the Jammu province as Youthless Zone in the coming years, which is not a healthy development. Asserting that there can be numerous job avenues if the tourism and agriculture-related sectors are allowed to flourish, the BJP chief said that the government should remove all the hurdles in allowing the outsiders to set up industries and other such establishments in the state so that the unemployed get employment.
Manhas, on this occasion, declared that the BJP will announce a Youth policy in "Youth Maha Rally" in the month of November and this policy will serve to be a road map for the state government to formulate a comprehensive Official Youth Policy. BJYM State President in his welcome address, stressed on making youth to choose politics as the carrier. He said the youth of today is more alert, visionary and capable of competing with the global race and face challenges in a more effective way. He said the youth can play a very decisive role in molding the people to work for a "Strong India'. Later in the afternoon session, the BJYM State President was also briefed about the morcha activities in different districts of the state by the respective district presidents. About 100 delegates from different parts of the state, including those from Kashmir valley and the women, were the invitees in this day long Working Committee meeting.
