EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, June 16: Keeping in view the present security scenario of the state and attempts made by terrorists from across the border particularly in the Kathua/Samba sectors on IB from past some time, the District Police Samba in order to strengthen the internal security circle imparted weapon handling and firing practice to the VDC members of Chila Danga and Goran areas of District Samba. A total of 200 VDC men were imparted weapon handling and firing at Utterbehani Firing range. The training was imparted by specially trained instructors of Samba Police under the supervision of Shri Shazaad Salaria, Dy.SP, HQ, Samba.The exercise was aimed to enable the VDC member to handle weapons efficiently and effectively to meet any eventuality in their respective VDC areas.
